2008 OPEN MINISAGA COMPETITION

RESULTS & JUDGES’S COMMENT

Judging has been a difficult and time-consuming task for all three judges. Once we’d discarded those that broke the rules or didn’t follow the theme we were left with 104 valid entries which we trimmed by slow degrees to a short list of 12. As you can probably imagine, there were many disagreements along the way Three or four stories were demoted simply because they had too many misspelt words. On such small things hangs the fate of many an entry in many a competition when they otherwise have equal merit.

The winning entries are published in issue 22 of Carillon Magazine
